Happy New Year from the OT Faculty and Staff!

Our Mission

The MU Department of Occupational Therapy and Occupational Science (MUOT) is committed to excellence in academic preparation of practitioners who are open to concepts of healing that embrace the mind, body, and spirit. Respecting the uniqueness and value of each individual, our mission is to advance occupation-based and holistic practices into the community where people live, work, and play. We seek to prepare leaders, scholars and researchers who are dedicated to scientific discovery and human occupation.

The total pass rate for graduates of the Department of Occupational Therapy and Occupational Science on the National certification exam, including first time and repeat test takers between 2004 and 2007 was 46 out of 46 test takers, which is 100%. During that 4-year time period, the program enrolled 49 students.
