Welcome to the MU Communication Science and Disorders website. We are delighted with your interest in our field and our department. We are proud of our long and distinguished history and the high quality of our faculty, staff and students. We have an excellent faculty-student ratio, with small classes and much opportunity for one-to-one interaction, including participation in research. In addition to our undergraduate (BHS) and master's (MHS) degree programs, we offer the only Ph.D. in Communication Science and Disorders at a public university in the state of Missouri. MHS graduates of our program demonstrate superior knowledge and skills on the national certification examination for speech-language pathologists, the PRAXIS II. For well over two decades, our pass rate has been 100%, and our students' average scores are well above the national average each year. Their employment rate after graduation is equally impressive.
