Accent Modification Program (AMP)
The Communication Science and Disorders Department is pleased to announce a new program, called the Accent Modification Program. In this program, clinicians will use a variety of materials and computer programs designed to help reduce or modify accents to increase communication opportunities. The clinicians are graduate students in the Speech-Language Pathology program and are supervised by clinical faculty. This program is focused on accent modification (sometimes called accent reduction). It is not a course that teaches English as a Second Language. The Accent Modification Program will run Tuesday and Thursday afternoons beginning in the Winter 2006 semester. The cost for the program is $660 per person. If you have any questions, please contact Sherry Coffelt at (573) 882-3873, or e-mail Dana Fritz, PhD.
