Who Should Apply and How to Get Started

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

Individuals entering the degree completion program in respiratory therapy must have completed an accredited associate's degree program in respiratory therapy. Potential students must hold the National Board for Respiratory Care credential of Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). Students must have completed at least one year of professional work experience in critical-care respiratory therapy.

Degree Completion:

Upon completion of all academic requirements, you will be awarded a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Respiratory Therapy.

HOW DO I GET STARTED?

To apply online for admission to the Respiratory Therapy program, visit Application Information.

Once accepted into the degree program, you may enroll in individual courses via mail or fax, or online by visiting the MU Direct Course Catalog.

MU Direct works with academic departments in assisting students with course registration and student services. The MU Direct web site is an important resource for, among other information, the following:

  • Enrollment in courses (after academic advising)
  • Specific information about scheduled courses
  • Current course and auxiliary fees
  • Adding and dropping courses
  • Student resources
  • Course policies and procedures
