Position Announcement: Chair, Department of Physical Therapy
The School of Health Professions of the University of Missouri is seeking a visionary and dynamic leader for the position of Chair of the Department of Physical Therapy. This position will open in 2010 with the retirement of the current Chair.
Principal Responsibilities
Facilitate growth in research and scholarship.- Curricular development, including overseeing initiatives in e-learning.
- Lead faculty, staff, and students in department goal setting and strategic planning.
- Develop and oversee clinical programs.
- Provide oversight for program accreditation and review.
- Budget planning and management.
- Engage in school-wide planning, program development, fundraising and public relations promotion.
Minimum Qualifications
- Earned PhD or equivalent degree from an accredited college or university.
- Commitment to educational programming.
- Record of thematic scholarship in physical therapy.
- Tenure eligible at Associate Professor or Professor rank.
- License eligible in the State of Missouri.
- Demonstration of successful administrative leadership, clinical enterprise, development, and accreditation management.
