Admission to SHP Programs

All SHP academic programs (except for the BHS in Health Sciences program, not to be confused with our other BHS programs) require that students apply to be admitted to the professional phase of the program. All students start as pre-professional students in SHP. For example, if a student is interested in Communication Science and Disorders, their academic plan will be “pre-HP, Communication Science and Disorders”. Once students apply and are admitted to their program, the “pre” is dropped off the front of their plan and then they are students in the professional program.

How to Apply

When application is made and the application requirements vary for each program. See the application deadline chart for the dates/deadlines, and students are strongly encouraged to talk to an academic advisor for the program they wish to pursue to verify eligibility to apply and develop strategies for applying to their program.
